We are delighted to welcome Japanese underground legends 54-71 to the Transduction fold. Their eight studio album will be their first to be issued outside Japan when it drops on September 29. Titled “I’m Not Fine, Thank You. And You?”, the politeness ends right there with eight pile driving slabs of rock, rap and pounding beats that will break both your head and your speakers. The band will also bring the noise on tour with LITE in the UK and Ireland between 11 - 18 October. Check the tour page for dates.

自らのバンド名をデビューアルバムのタイトルとした今回 の作品は、伝統的なアイルランド・ミュージックに加え『16 Horsepower』『Thin Lizzy』『The Chieftains』にみられ るスピリッツ、そしてプログレッシヴやPost Rock的な要素も 加えられた力強い1枚である。 『The Hare』や『Pimlico』で聞ける『辛さ、幻滅、裏切り、 愛国心』などの歴史的背景を思い浮かばせる一面もあれば、代表曲とも言える『The Partisan』で聞けるマケドニア・フォークに影響を受けた楽曲もあり、音楽性の幅が広くそれでいて綺麗なメロディーが聞こえて来る、そんな質の良い 一枚である。 ※国内盤仕様スペシャルプライス盤。
The Spook of the Thirteenth Lockとは『アイルランド・ ダブリンの音楽』を奏でる集団だ。もちろんパンジョーの音も入っており、ギター、ベース、ドラムとしたバンド・サウンドがよ り一層アイルランドの音を強烈にアピールしている。 2006年に元Holy Ghost FathersのAllen Bligheが Enda Batesと共に単なるフォークサウンドからサイケロッ ク・プログレッシヴ的な要素などをを加えて音源作りを始 め、 元SteerageのDonnchadh Hoey (Guitar)とBrian O’Higgins (Drums) の加入により今のメンバーでThe Spook of the Thirteenth Lockが誕生した。
